Customer brought us his 2011 Mercedes E350 in for coolant loss. After pressure testing cooling system we found water pump was the source of the problem.
While replacing water pump noticed engine drive belt was fraying due to worn drive belt tensioner.
While replacing water pump we also recommend lower radiator hose as this is a problematic issue on these models.
If you’re experiencing coolant loss in your Mercedes Benz, don’t wait until it leaves you stranded or worse possible engine damage. Due to the age of this vehicle it would never hurt to replace water pump as preventive maintenance so you have piece of mind.
