INSTALLATION PROCESS

DISCONNECT BATTERY

UNBOLT 13MM NUT FROM ALTERNATOR POWER CABLE

UNBOLT VR6 ALTERNATOR AND POWER STEERING PUMP IF STILL EQUIPPED. ALTERNATOR IS HELD ON WITH EITHER 13MM OR 8MM HEX BOLTS.

ONCED REMOVED THEY ARE BOTH NO LONGER NEEDED

REMOVE OEM BRACKET FROM BLOCK USING 8MM HEX SOCKET.

INSTALL NEW BILLET BRACKET WITH FLAT SIDE FACING THE CRANK PULLEY

THE TOP BOLT IS A LONG BOLT WITH NUT

THE BOTTOM IS A THREADED BOLT HOLE. BOTH BOLTS INSERT FROM THE CRANK PULLEY SIDE INWARDS

REUSING THE OEM CHARGING CABLE AND BOLT TO THE SINGLE POLE WITH NUT ON ALTERNATOR.

THIS ALTERNATOR REQUIRES NOTHING ELSE TO EXCITE OR WORK. THE RPM OF THE ENGINE IS ALL THAT IS NEEDED TO CHARGE.

IN SOME CASES IF THE ENGINE IDLE IS SET TOO LOW THE ALTERNATOR WILL NOT CHARGE. MAKE SURE THE IDLE IS SET HIGH ENOUGH TO CHARGE THE BATTERY TYPICALLY 850 RPM OR HIGHER IS BEST

Hardware mounting locations are as following in the photos. Depending on which VR6 block you are mounting to you may not need to use all the hardware. The shortest bolt will be installed in the hole with the aluminum spacer insert installed. That one is used on 24v and 3.6 blocks

On the alternator install the longer bolt and nut through the hole without  threads. this one will be on top. The bolt for bottom will thread into the alternator itself
